Adekunle Gold’s biography

His real name is Adekunle Kosoko, and he was born on the 28th of January 1987 to the Kososko Royal Family of Lagos. There are no details, but they were said to be teachers.

Adekunle Gold has three female siblings and is a nephew to popular and veteran actor Prince Jide Kosoko.

AG Baby is a Nigerian by birth and celebrated his 34th birthday in January 2021.

Education

Adekunle Gold had his primary and secondary school education in Lagos state, after which he proceeded to the Lagos State Polytechnic to bag a higher diploma in Art and Design.

Career

AG Baby has always been interested in music since he was a boy as he grew up listening to sings by King Sunny Ade and Evangelist Ebenezer Obey. He would later join his local church choir and start writing his songs at the age of 15.

He first made it to the limelight owing to his graphics designing skills after he photoshopped him hugging popular Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage.

His moment in the music industry started in 2014 after he dropped Sade, a cover of One Direction’s Story of My Life. According to the reports, the song was mixed by his then-girlfriend now-wife, Simi.

Sade was so popular it earned Adekunle Gold the Best Alternative Song award at the Headies. This attracted him to YBNL label boss Olamide, who signed him.

After joining YBNL, Adekunle Gold released his debut albumm titled Gold in 2016 and it was produced by Pheelz, B Banks, Sleekamo, Oscar, Masterkraft and Seyikeyz.
