One of the most popular examination bodies in Nigerian, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB, has announced the commencement for this year’s exam, however, it some slight changes.

When did 2022 JAMB registration commence?
The 2022 JAMB registration was earlier reported to commence on the 12th of February, 2022; however, the examination body pushed the date forward to the 19th of February to enable it to carry out a last-minute check on its portal and other applications prospective candidates would access.
As of the time of this article, JAMB registration commenced on the 19th of February and will run until the 26th of March 2022.
The latest update on JAMB registration
For 2022 JAMB registration, the body has introduced what is now known as Self Registration, with centres in Lagos and Abuja.
According to the reports, the new Self Registration starts this year to allow prospective candidates who know how to use a computer to register themselves at available centres.
The introduction of an addition USSD Code
For this year’s JAMB registration, the exam body has introduced another USSD code, 66019, in addition to the 55019 codes that had been used in the past year’s.
This means for this year JAMB registration, the exam body is adopting two USSD codes, and they are 66019 and 55019.
Is NIN compulsory?
Like in the past JAMB registration, the National Identity Number NIN remains compulsory for all candidate that wants to register for this year’s examination.
Phone number remains one of the important things every prospective candidate for this year’s JAMB registration must have, as this is the medium through which they will be able to gain access to every information they need to access for a smooth registration.
