This movie was released in 2020 and produced by Chinaza Onuzo.
The movie tells the story of what a young, overworked ad executive with an overbearing boss starts her own side hustle and must invent an employer when her business begins to flourish. This shares some insight to some of the realities in the business world.
Funke Akindele, Sharon Oonaja, Blossom Chuwkwu, Segun Arinze played lead roles in the movie.
2. Your Excellency
This movie was released in 2019 and directed by Funke Akindele who played the lead role in the movie alongside Akin Lewis.
Your Excellency tells the story of Chief Olalekan Ajadi, billionaire businessman and failed presidential candidate, who is obsessed with Donald Trump.
The movie talks about how social media plays a role in the Nigerian politics.
3. Citation
The movie was written by Tunde Babalola and directed by Kunle Afolayan, it was released in 2020.
Citation tells the story of a bright student in Nigeria who takes on the academic establishment when she reports a popular professor who tried to rape her. The movie was shot at the Obafemi Awolowo University.
Some of the popular faces in the movie are, Temi Otedola, Oluwashina Bukunmi, Gabriel Afolayan among others.
4. October 1
This is another movie by the duo of Tunde Babalola and Kunle Afolayan, and it was released on the 1st of October 2014.
The movie goes back to the period when Nigeria was about to gain its independence in 1960; it tells the story of a Nigerian police detective who is dispatched to investigate the murders of women in a small community.
5. Namaste Wahala
This movie was directed by Hamisha Daryani Ahuja and was released in December 2020. It is a combination of Nollywood and Bollywood movie makers.
The movie which is centre on love tells the story of how an interracial couple faced a new dilemma when their respective parents find out about their relationship and disapprove.
