The latest updates have revealed that one of the wives of Nigerian juju music legend, King Sunny Ade (KSA), Honourable (Mrs) Risikat Adegeye, has passed on.
It was disclosed that Mrs Risikat Adegeye, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, died on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She had also served as a two-time member of the Lagos State Assembly Service Commission.
A report the Leadership claimed the ex-lawmaker died after brief illness.
For many who may not know, Risikat Adegeye was the third of seven wives of King Sunny Ade; the reports revealed that even though they have been together for more than three decades, they loved each other dearly and treated themselves as though they were young couples.
Her death comes hours to her husband’s 75th birthday, which is on Wednesday 22nd of September, 2021.

Risikat Adegeye’s Biography
Hon. Risikat Adegeye was born in Mushin, area of Lagos state, there are no details about her date of birth, but she is assumed to be in her late 50’s. Her mother was a politician who influence her decision to become a politician while her father was a police officer.
There are no details of whether she had other siblings; she is a Nigerian by birth.
Education
Mrs Risikat Adegeye attended LA Primary School in Agege, and for her secondary school, she finished at St. Francis College in Onike, Iwaya in Lagos, after which she participated at the Women Training College Idi-Aba in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Career
Before she ventured into politics when she became an honourable member in 2007, she had once worked with Good intention services Nigeria Limited, where she spent seven and a half years. It was after she left there she became an honourable member and spent four years, just one term in the House of Assembly.
She served as a Commissioner in the House of Assembly Service Commission in 2017, and she was the only lady in the commission when it was newly established.
She revealed she took an interest in politics from her mother who was a politician as she always followed her to political meetings. Until her death she was a member of the All Progressive Congress APC.
How she met King Sunny Ade
Mrs Risikat revealed she met the Juju legend via a mutual friend who was older than the singer. She told she had loved King Sunny Ade even before they met.
She revealed that while her mother supported the relationship, her father was against it at first as he was a Christian and she was a Muslim; her father would later accept, and she went on to become the singer’s third wife; their union is blessed with children.

Risikat Adegeye died on Tuesday the 21st of September 2021.
