400L varsity student raped, impregnated minor in Benue

no to rape

A 400 Level Student of Department of Mechanical Engineering Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, Benue State, has raped and impregnated a 14-year-old minor.

The student simply identified as Mike was said to have repeatedly had carnal knowledge of the minor, a 14-year-old Basic Four pupil of a public school in Makurdi, and got her pregnant.

The minor said to be a nanny did not speak when Mike abused her because of fear, an insider claimed.

KemiFilaniNews gathered that it was on 4th September 2021, that the minor’s aunt discovered she was pregnant through a pregnancy test. The pregnancy is now one month old.

According to our source, Mike has accepted responsibility for the pregnancy but however, he demanded for a job from the minor’s relations to enable him to take care of her and the would born baby before he will take the minor in.

This the source said has led to disagreement between Mike and the guardians of the minor who invited the Police to arrest and prosecute Mike for violating a minor.

Mike was later released by the Police following the intervention of a local Chief who promised to settle the matter in a communal way.

However, the minor’s family are said to be unsatisfied with the intervention of the chief and are now calling for justice for the minor who was repeatedly raped and impregnated by Mike.
