At least seven members of the National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have resigned.
This includes the Deputy National Financial Secretary, Deputy Legal Adviser, Deputy National Auditor, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Deputy Women Leader, and Deputy Organising Secretary, have resigned from their various positions.
Colonel Austin Akobundu (retd), the party’s National Organising Secretary, confirmed this to the Nation on Tuesday.
The resigning NWC members, numbering about seven, however, promised to remain loyal to the main opposition political party.
They, according to the report, will no longer continue to work with the current NWC led by Prince Uche Secondus.
