‘I’m going to my husband’s house’ – Tonto Dikeh announces

Tonto Dikeh has taken to her Instagram page to announce her departure to her husband’s house.

According to Tonto who shared photos of her with a travelling box, she won’t be going to Oba in Anambra for the burial ceremony of Obi Cubana’s mother. Instead, she is going to her husband’s house.

The mother of one, however, proceeded to say she was catching a cruise with her status.

KFN recalls that the Nigerian social media space has gone agog following clips of the continuous display of wealth at the event at the burial ceremony of billionaire, Obi Cubana’s mother in Anambra.

This comes after the news that the socialite received over 300 cows as gifts for the burial which is currently happening at Oba, Anambra state from friends and loved ones.

Buhari to observe Eid-el-Kabir holiday in Daura


President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to observe the Eid-el Kabir holiday in Daura, Katsina state.

He has flown to Daura, after commissioning the Zobe Water Project on Thursday evening.

Buhari will also be commissioning the first Modern Integrated Farm Estate of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority on Monday, 19 July, 2021.

The modern integrated farm estate is designed to accommodate poultry pens, goat pens, rabbit pens, fish ponds.

It also has crop farming areas, processing and packaging plants, storage facilities, clinics, residential area, school, training centres as well as an administrative block and facilities.

212 people reported dead as South Africa protests continue

Unrest in South Africa has claimed 212 lives, the government said on Friday, a sharp jump from the 117 deaths announced the previous day.

Government minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni told a news conference most of the new fatalities had occurred in the southeastern province of KwaZulu-Natal province, the epicentre of the violence.

But, she said, the situation was “gradually and firmly returning to normality.”

Ntshavheni reported that 1,488 additional incidents were reported in KZN overnight, but did not give details.

The province also reported an additional 89 deaths over the past 24 hours.

More than 2,550 people have been arrested, Ntshavheni said.
