After allegedly failing to pay her child support and other bills linked to their two children, Lamar Odom has been ordered to pay roughly $400,000 (over 165 million naira) to his “Basketball Wives” ex-girlfriend.
Liza Morales, a former gal pal and TV reality personality, sued the ex-Los Angeles Laker in May, alleging that the Queens-born baller hasn’t been respecting their 2015 settlement deal regarding their now-adult children since June 2020, according to the lawsuit.
Morales said that Odom was late on child support, college bills and tuition, as well as rent for the Lower Manhattan apartment where she and their children Destiny, 23, and Lamar Jr., 19, live, triggering an eviction lawsuit.
Morales’ plea for a default judgment against Odom — who was once married to Khloe Kardashian — was granted by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper during a court hearing last month since he hadn’t attended in the case to defend himself against the charges.
Cooper then signed his decision, which was made public on Thursday, ordering Odom to pay $380,549 in child support, rent arrears, college expenditures, and her legal bills.
According to the judge, Odom must also finance a $1 million life insurance policy by Friday, naming his ex as the beneficiary. Otherwise, Morales has the option of “entering a judgment against Lamar Odom for an extra $1,000,000,” according to the July 20 ruling.
