Nigerian celebrities like; Victoria Inyama, Dolly Unachukwu, Maureen Layoukun and other Nigerians in UK, stormed the city of London as they celebrate with controversial Nigerian veteran singer, Charly Boy.
Let the truth be told: if you were not at Charly Boy, aka Area Fada’s Meet & Mingle Evening finale at the Alpha Lounge, Lewisham – London, on Sunday 25th July 2021, you sure missed a good one!
Despite the heavy downpour and flooded roads in London, beautiful ladies and gentlemen, looking good – casual and smart, came out to honour and show love to the legendary Area Fada, known worldwide for being a strong voice for the oppressed.
The compères of the event proceedings, MCs De Lioness and Lady Doyin, two of the top favourites from the African community in the U.K, complemented the fantastic ambience with banters, fun and laughter.
Looking very fit, deceptively young, and every inch a true warrior, the 71-year-old answered questions from the audience and later gave a live performance to the delight of everyone present.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of a bespoke ‘well-crafted Lion’s Head’ to the Area Fada. The award presentation speech was given by Ambassador Evans, CEO Alpha Lounge, to honour and appreciate the Area Fada for being a fearless advocate for the oppressed, that he truly is.
Here are a few memorable photos of the event. Below:
