Popular Yoruba actor, Yemi Olufela Solade, has taken to his Instagram page to fight dirty with some of his followers over amala.
Yemi had posted a photo of himself eating amala, ewedu and gbegiri, a popular Yoruba delicacy. Things however took an odd turn after a follower called him out for using cutlery to eat the Yoruba traditional dish.
Yemi Solade wrote, “Make una join me…. AMALA + EWEDU/GBEGIRI + GOAT…. to be washed down with Cold Table Water.”
A follower called him out for using cutlery instead of hand. He commented in Yoruba, “won gbe amala fun e ohn yo sibi oun toye kio towo bo”.
Angered by this, Yemi called him ‘Ugly” and asked him to go to ugly people’s page.
Another social media user commented, “A Yoruba Nollywood actor eating amala with spoon, this is how we quickly forget our own culture”. Yemi then took it upon his (the follower’s) father. See their exchange below:

Nollywood actress Linda Osifo has explained why most women in the movie industry are seemingly more successful than their male colleagues.
