Nigerian billionaire and husband to Nollywood actress Ned Nwoko have come under fire for saying he supports the Twitter ban by the Federal Government.
The former member of the Delta state House of Assembly stated his position while speaking at a June 12 lecture organised by the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Abuja Council.
Giving reasons for his position, Ned Nwoko stressed that all social media platforms must pay taxes to the Federal governments and provide employment for some Nigerians for the over 100 million population that subscribed to their services.
However, Ned Nwoko’s reason did not sit well with many Nigerians who have constantly dragged the politician on the microblogging platform for always marriage young ladies.
Also, some netizens blasted Ned, saying that he’s supporting the Federal Government to avoid being called out by some residents of his state who alleged that Ned Nwoko had been forcefully their lands.
