Olamide and Phyno: Two brothers different tribes
The blood they say is thicker than water, however, there are some circumstances where some relationships which started without bloodline can stand the test of time and become so strong.
This can be likened to the case of Olamide Adedeji popular known as Olamide and Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike better known as Phyno.
The two singers have become so inseparable that the only difference is that while one sings in the Yoruba language, the other does his in the Igbo language.
Over the years they have bonded so well that they have been able to help indigenous music grow.
Apart from 9ice when it comes to promoting the Yoruba language as well as slang in modern-day Nigerian music, Olamide is one artiste to listen to, the same applies to Phyno when it comes to the Igbo language.
The first single between Olamide and Phyno dates back to 2012 when he featured the YBNL boss in the song ”Ghost Mode” a tracklist of his debut album titled “No Gut No Glory,” released in 2014.
Phyno featured Olamide in the song “Ghost Mode” which went on to win the Best Collabo at both the 2012 Headies Awards and the 2013 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Following their achievement in Ghost Mode, Olamide and Phyno went on to release a collaborative album titled ”2 Kings” which was an album to declare their dominance.
The album featured the likes of Wizkid, Lil Kesh, Pheelz among others.
Since then Olamide and Phyno have bonded so well they have featured each other repeatedly.
Below are some of the songs Olamide and Phyno have worked on;
Ghost Mode released in 2014
Dope Money released in 2013
Onyeamo released in 2018

Aside from these singles, there are other songs in which the two artistes were both featured by other artistes.
A look at the date of the release of each of the single proves that Olamide and Phyno have bonded so well that no year would pass without them releasing a song together.
Also, they already have a song together for the year 2021 titled ‘Somebody’ which is a track off Olamide’s UY Scuti’s album to be released this weekend.
Olamide and Phyno have been able to prove with their songs and collaboration that it’s possible to work together irrespective of different languages.
Their fan base have also grown beyond the areas of their respective languages.
Hopefully, their single will be another hit this year.
