N100m bounty put on Nnamdi Kanu’s head

Northern Consensus Movement (NCM), a coalition of 75 Northern groups, have placed a N100million bounty on the head of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, for continuation of his trial for alleged treason.

The groups disclosed this while briefing reporters in Abuja.

NCM accused Kanu and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) of masterminding the recent spate of attacks on Northern communities in the South East via what they called ‘hate speech’.

Speaking on behalf of the Coalition, Dr. Awwal Aliyu, they urged the United States of America, the United Kingdom and the European Union to facilitate Kanu’s repatriation to Nigeria to face the charges against him.

Yobo advises Real Madrid on Sergio Ramos’ replacement

Former Nigeria captain, Joseph Yobo, has advised Real Madrid to bring in a defender with a ‘strong character’ and ‘strong personality’ to replace Sergio Ramos.

Ramos joined Real from Sevilla in 2005 and featured in over 670 games for the Santiago Bernabeu giants.

However, he has now left Los Blancos after 16 years.

Yobo has provided his recommendations on what the Spanish top-flight side must consider while thinking of replacing their prized asset.

“They have [Raphael] Varane who is very good, but you need somebody to complement him,” Yobo told Goal.

“One of the criteria to consider before bringing a new defender is that such player must be a good footballer.
