Buhari did not ban Twitter – APC insists


The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ismaeel Ahmed, has insisted the President Muhammadu Buhari government did not ban the use of Twitter, as it only suspended its operations.

Ahmed stated this at a press conference on Wednesday, heralding the rescheduled Progressive Youths Conference now to hold next week.

“The government didn’t ban social media as a lot of people will insinuate. It is very important that we know that because Facebook is still in operation, Instagram is still in operation, WhatsApp is still in operation, and a lot of other social media platforms are still in operation.

“In fact, some people will tell you Twitter is for the elite young people and not necessarily for the general public.

Nigerian female disc jockey and billionaire's daughter Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy, has revealed she has once a guy younger than her.

Cuppy made this known during an interactive session with her fans on Instagram. A fan had questioned the 28-year-old music producer if she can date a guy younger than her.

Responding, Dj Cuppy revealed she had dated a 23-year-old guy last year, and the experience was magical. On whether she's still single or engaged, Cuppy said she's now single.

It’s idiotic to think Nigeria will break up – Obasanjo warns Biafra, Oduduwa agitators


Former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, has described agitation for secession by some groups in South-East and South-West as "idiotic".

The Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) want the establishment of Biafra nation for people from the South East.

Similarly, the Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho and his numerous loyalists have several times staged protest in the South West, demanding for the actualization of Oduduwa Republic for the Yoruba nation.

The activities of the secession agitators have caused unrest in many parts of the country.

However, Obasanjo who spoke in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital on Wednesday, said disintegration would not solve the problem of the country.

Obasanjo cited examples of Pakistan, Yugoslavia and Sudan as countries...
