West Ham cannot afford £40m deal for Tammy Abraham – Moyes

West Ham United manager, David Moyes, has claimed they cannot afford a deal to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea.

Abraham is reportedly one of Moyes’ top transfer targets this summer.

But with the Blues demanding at least £40m for the striker, Moyes says the Hammers won’t make a move.

“It would rule us out completely. We will be ruled out,” said Moyes. “So if that’s the figure and that’s what’s being said, we are ruled out.

“We don’t have that money, we don’t have that to buy a striker at that price, no.

“Is that sort of figure our total spend? It may well be. But you never know here.
