The Ghanaian police have arrested a man for bathing his partner with acid shortly after she relocated to her father’s apartment.
The woman, Florence was reportedly bathed with acid while taking her bath in her paternal home. However, the circumstances concerning the incident are still yet to be unraveled.
A statement released by Crime Check TV Ghana on Friday, May 7, says that the suspect wrongly informed the victim’s father about his purpose for visiting.
He stated he came for forgiveness and went to the bathroom where she was bathing to destroy her face and body with acid.
“You made it clear you don’t love her. You throw her out. She moves to her daddy’s house. You go to the daddy to beg for forgiveness only to enter into the bathroom where your wife is bathing to pour acid on her. Thank God the police has swiftly arrested him. This is so inhuman” Crime check TV Ghana wrote.

Some unknown have invaded a neighborhood security office in Anambra state, killing five people including a security officer on duty and a famous business tycoon in the area.
The gunmen reportedly attacked the local vigilance office in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo LGA of the state, about 7 pm on Sunday evening, and set the building and vehicles of the local security group on fire.
Confirming the incident, the police command spokesperson, Ikenga Tochukwu said “Yes, there was an attack on Ozubulu but not the police station but vigilante office by the hoodlums,”
“They came in Sienna vehicles, motorcycles and attacked the office of the vigilante. Security operatives have been deployed to the area and normalcy has been restored.” Tochukwu said.

The Nigerian Immigration Service has recently rescued seven victims of human trafficking.
According to the state comptroller, Ismail Baba, seven young women ranging from age 16 to 27 were waylaid on May 5 at Gurai village in Babura Local Government Area of the state on their way to Libya at 3 pm.
"It has become necessary to inform you about the intended trafficking of persons. The victims were apprehended at Gurai village on Babura Road; they were on their way to Tripoli in Libya".

Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church International (Winners Chapel), has warned his members not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as it is "a deadly thing".
