How Davido’s stage performance was sabotage by a DJ (see why)

Nigerian comedian Bovi has taken to social media to celebrate Nigerian sensational singer Davido as he marks his 10th anniversary in the music industry.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Bovi narrates how Davido and his 30 billion gangs stormed a lounge for performance.

There was a visible change in the atmosphere as the audience danced in excitement to the newly released song of Davido, titled “Dami Duro”.

However, as everyone pranced and danced, the unthinkable happened as the DJ deliberately switched off the music system. When confronted, he said Davido failed to greet him when he entered the lounge.

According to Bovi, the audience apologized on behalf of Davido, but the DJ was bent on sabotaging Davido’s performance that night.

The comedian wrote: Davido walked into koko lounge with a few of his friends. Then the 30 billion gang was still in its embryonic stages so the small venue could accommodate his entourage.

Koko lounge was the biggest comedy club by reputation and Wednesday’s were the best comedy nights. It was such a famous Wednesday, many artists came to perform their new hit songs just to market to the organic audience. If they vibed to your new song, the artist was sure the song was gonna be a hit.
Dami Duro had just dropped. So with Davido walking into the lounge, people were already excited. He waltzed through the ecstatic audience to the vip section to take his seat while trying not disturb the comedian that was on stage. We all sat to watch the show In Anticipation of davidos performance. The time came and he hit the stage. The atmosphere was frenzied, everyone was on their feet as the famous beats of the song gyrated the speakers; we were drunk and screaming, the girls lost their home training, the boys lost their manners! As everyone pranced and danced, the unthinkable happened…. unplug. The dj set went off. The pissed off dj deliberately switched it off. His gross was “davido no greet am when he come” A miasma of anger filled the air. The audience went from happy to irate. Davido surprisingly was still begging this dj. This was a room of about 45 loyal Wednesday customers eager to party but One dj said, “davido no greet am” . @buchicomedian angrily instructed that the music came back on. They were ruining his clubs reputation, he warned. The music started again and as if it hadn’t even started before, the hall exploded with ecstasy. One didn’t need to be drugged to be caught up in this mood. Davido doubled his energy and his infection spread across the room. Then it happened again. The dj unplugged his set, again! There was this brief silence and then loud protests. Oga dj was hell bent on sabotaging the “small boy wey no get respect”. And that was how the evening ended abruptly. I remember assuring the dj that he’d be fired in the morning.
Well, the most important part of the story is that Davido left and went on to become a superstar. Happy ten year anniversary @davido.

Bisola and Reno Omokri

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and single mother, Bisola Aiyeola, has lashed out at Reno omokri for coming at single mothers.

Bisola hit hard at Reno who is known for always dragging women who have children out of wedlock.

This comes after Reno Omokri said he has no sympathy for single mothers.

Kemi Filani News recalls that Reno Omokri had tweeted: 'Except she was raped, or widowed, I have zero sympathy for single mothers. The Black world faces a baby mama epidemic. We must not encourage it, or make celebrities out of bleached, surgically enhanced Jezebels who are unashamed of their whoredom!"
And Bisola, a mum-of-one, responded: "Sir you're just giving yourself headache. Single mothers gan no rate you. Saint Reno."

CAF Super Cup: Al Ahly to take on Berkane in Qatar

Al Ahly of Egypt and Renaissance Berkane of Morocco will face off in the delayed CAF Super Cup match on May 28 in Doha, the organisers have confirmed.

COVID-19 and disagreements over the venue have resulted in several postponements of the game between the winners of the CAF Champions League and the second-tier CAF Confederation Cup.

Last year November, Ahly beat Zamalek 2-1 in an all-Egypt Champions League final and Berkane defeated another Egyptian club, Pyramids, 1-0 to lift the Confederation Cup.

This will be third consecutive Super Cup match to be staged in Qatar.

Previously asked why an African match was being played in Asia, a CAF official said taking the game outside the continent helped to “broaden the appeal of the...
