‘My mother and career adviser – Fuji singer, Pasuma pens down tribute to Salawa Abeni

Popular Fuji singer, Pasuma has taken out time to pen down a lovely tribute to Nigerian Waka singer, Salawa Abeni on her 60th birthday today.

In the birthday tribute Pasuma wrote on his official Instagram page, he described Salawa as his mother, career adviser and the most powerful female musician in Nigeria.

Sharing a photo of the celebrant, Pasuma wrote;

“Happy 60th Birthday to the most powerful existing Wala Queen and the longest female musician in Nigeria… my mother and career adviser, God bless your new age Maami @officialsalawaabeni LLNP Maaaaaa”

Ahead of the birthday celebration, Pasuma paid the Waka singer a surprise visit at her residence.

Sharing a video of Pasuma’s visit on her page, Salawa wrote;

“Surprise!!! pre-birthday visit from my darling brother @officialpasuma Jibola oku aponle mi ooo. Thank you very much!”

Salawa also took to her Instagram page to celebrate herself.

“Allhamdulilah! Allhamdulilah!! Allhamdulilah!!! Enu mi gba ope!! Happy 60th to me Salawatu Ibiwunmi Abeni. I am more than grateful to God for sparing my life till this day and more. Eba mi dupe oo”

“A patriot and compassionate leader”- Atiku pens down tribute to Late President Yaradua

Former Vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has taken to social media to express himself in memory of Late President Umar Musa Yar'adua.

The political elite said he has always been a true and patriotic leader to the country and prayed his memory continues to be a blessing to all.

"Eleven years in remembrance of our late President Umaru Yar’Adua—a patriot and compassionate leader. May your memory continue to be a blessing", he tweeted.

Late president ruled Nigeria for three years after which he got diagnosed for kidney and heart ailments and subsequently died 11 years ago.

Students of the University of Uyo have held a heart breaking procession in honour of one of their former students, Iniobong Umoren who was murdered and buried in a shallow grave by one Uduak Akpan.
