One of Greenfield University students has finally been released by kidnappers.
The mother of the victim Lauretta Atahiru confirmed this on Tuesday in an interview with Channels TV.
According to reports, the mother who is the wife of the retired Army officer from Plateau state agreed to pay a ransom before the release of her son on Saturday.
Nevertheless, she has refused to give a detailed information of how he was released.
Based on gathered information from the victim’s parents, they have been contacted individually by the kidnappers to pay N100 million naira.
Following the release of the student, the fate of others has not been decided yet as their parents plead with the government and Nigerians for help.
