Toyin Abraham’s ‘Prophetess’ makes over 43million in opening weekend

Toyin Abraham is presently receiving accolades as the newly released ‘Prophetess movie’ produced and directed by Niyi Akinmolayan makes over N43million in opening weekend.

Sharing the announcement, Toyin Abraham wrote “Who de shout?* #Prophetess by @niyi_akinmolayan made over 43million in its opening weekend, even more than my last movie FATE OF ALAKADA! I celebrate my wins always because I get better with time and keep growing. Please my Darling Fam, go and watch Prophetess, it is showing in ALL cinemas nationwide!”

Kemi Filani recalls that the much anticipated movie, The Prophetess which was produced and directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and stars Toyin Abraham as lead cast, premiered last weekend and started screening today at the cinemas nationwide.

Produced by Victoria Akujobi and Mimi Bartels, the feature film follows the story of Ajoke, a local prophetess whose bogus prediction about a football match sets off a series of events that spiral beyond her control.

This led to endangering her life, her sister’s life, and that of her sick mother.

Shot in Ibadan, Prophetess stars Kehinde Bankole, Kunle Remi, Ronke Ojo, Tina Mba, Stan Nze, Uzor Arukwe, Deyemi Okanlawon, Adedimeji Lateef, Blessing Jessica Obasi, Seyi Awolowo, and Toyin Abraham, among others.
