Chelsea yesterday completed the job they started in the first leg against Porto as they have now qualified for the UEFA Champions League semifinals.
Chelsea came with a well-prepared tactics in the second leg not too rush too much but try to defend their first leg lead.
They did that just well, but they fell short to a late stunning goal from a Porto forward but that was not enough to shake Chelsea as they progressed to the semifinals on away goals.
However, now Chelsea have set a new record after surpassing Manchester United who now comes second for the record.
According to Opta Joe, a well-renowned stats provider, Chelsea are now the only English team to reach the UEFA Champions League semifinals for the 8th time.
Right now, Chelsea are the only English team with this record in the competition’s history.
Manchester United comes next with 7 appearances, Liverpool with 5, Arsenal with 2, Manchester City with 1 and more.
