For those who do not know, Mother’s Day is a celebration honouring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.

The federal government has postponed plans to close Falomo Bridge in Lagos partially.
This was confirmed by the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola, in an interview with NAN on Sunday.
Popoola explained the decision to suspend rehabilitation works, was reached after a meeting with relevant stakeholders.
“After consultations with relevant stakeholders, we decided to postpone the rehabilitation work.
"A new date would be announced for the partial closure and commencement of repair works soon,” he said.
He apologised to drivers and members of the public for inconveniences caused by the shift in date for the repairs.

At least 2 teachers, and a nurse, in Otta, Ogunstate, were allegedly injured on, March 10, when SS1 students led thugs to attack staffs of the school after a teacher seized their phone.
It was gathered that on Wednesday 10th March 2021, the Physics teacher caught some SS 1 students watching pornography on a phone while she was in the class teaching. She seized the phone and gave it to the higher authority of the School to correct the students involved.
