Talented Nigerian producer, Abimbola Craig is set to produce highly anticipated movie, Glamour Girls Remake.

Abimbola Craig has produced powerful movies such as Ndani TV’s “Skinny Girl in Transit”, “Rumor Has It”, “The Juice”, co-produced “Sugar Rush” in 2019, alongside Jadesola Osiberu, and directed the new Ndani Original “Game On”.

The Yoruba born producer took to her Instagram page to share the story. She wrote, “3 generations of Nollywood actresses, A female producer, A female director, A female writer, Happy Women’s month! @playnetworkstudios @charlesofplay let’s create magic”.

Kemi Filani News recalls that Glamour Girls is a 1994 Nollywood blockbuster. It  was acquired by Play Network Africa’s CEO, Charles Okpaleke and is expected to hit the cinemas in December 2021.

The first “Glamour Girls” follows the life of a village girl who was influenced by her friend to get a job in Lagos to live a better life.

Glamour Girls is a two-part Nollywood film about independent single women embarking on their own paths within Nigeria’s traditionally patriarchal society. It gained widespread popularity in Nigeria. 

The hit movie starred Liz Benson, Ngozi Ezeonu, Eucharia Anuobi, Pat Attah, Ernest Obi, Zack Orji, and others.

‘Rhythms of Zamunda,’ the original soundtrack of the sequel of Eddie’s Murphy’s 1988 classic Coming To America features original songs from Nigerian artists, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, and Larry Gaaga

The highly anticipated movie is set to be released on March 5, 2021, the same day the movie will premiere on Amazon Prime.

Leading the project is Def Jam Recording artist and South Africa’s most-streamed artiste Nasty C.

The 16-track compilation was curated by CEO, Universal Music South Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa Sipho Dlamini.
