Nigerians on social media have hailed Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha after she took to her Instagram to rejoice as Funke Akindele’s Omo Ghetto (The Saga) crosses N500 million mark in box office.
This came after the excited actress shared a video of herself dancing in an Instagram post.
“When the movie you are in crosses the 500 million mark. SHMOOD,” she wrote.
Kemi Filani News recalls that, Funke Akindele-Bello’s Omo Ghetto, the saga movie, was recently declared Nollywood’s highest-grossing movie of all time. In a statement released by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria, Omo Ghetto The Saga has broken Nollywood’s box office record with a cum revenue of N501,449,050.
The movie which was released in cinemas on Christmas Day December 25, 2020 has also broken the four-year record as highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time formerly held by Kemi Adetiba’s The Wedding Party.
Nigerians however, hail the actress for her role played in the movie, commending her for the job well done.
