Nigerian human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore turns a year older today.
The Publisher of Sahara Reporters took out 50 minutes to exercise in celebration of his 50th birthday. Sharing the video on the microblogging platform, Mr Sowore was pictured with some group of young persons jogging together.
“Fifty minutes at 50!” he captioned the video.
The publisher joked that he needed to do 50 miles from his area to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja but could get waylaid by the police.
On Twitter, he said: “Thanks everyone for making such a difficult life so easy to live! #SoworeAt50.”

Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, is being investigated by the club to determine if he broke COVID-19 regulations.
This comes after footage emerged of Aubameyang getting a tattoo.
The 31-year-old Gabon striker was featured in an Instagram story posted five days ago by Spanish tattoo artist Alejandro Nicolas Bernal, receiving some new artwork on his hand.
Neither Aubameyang or Bernal were seen wearing a mask. But it is not clear when the footage was shot.
After the video of Aubameyang was brought to the club's attention, an Arsenal spokesman told ESPN: "It's a private matter and we will be speaking to the player to establish the facts."

More than N5 billion has been lost to fraud between January and September 2020, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc reveals.
The System made this revelation during its NIBBS insight report on 'Fraud in the Nigerian Financial Services.'
The report in parts reads; “On a global scale, fraudulent activities have resulted in losses amounting to about $42bn. Approximately 39 percent are perpetrated by external parties, while 37 percent are perpetrated by internal parties.
“Driving deeper in Nigerian industry data, the actual figures reported by the industry are quite striking.

An unconfirmed report has claimed that actress Mide Martins who is married to fellow actor and movie producer, Afeez Owo, is sexually involved with a younger actor, Kiki Bakare.
This is coming barely 24 hours after blogger Gist lover accused the actress of abandoning the last child of her late mum, Funmi Martins.
According to controversial blogger, Gistlover on Instagram, late Funmi Martins bore her last child, a boy to famous Nigerian juju musician, Shina Peters. Gistlover, however, claimed that the boy who is 19 years now has dropped out of school due to unavailability of funds.
Mide Martins, on the other hand, was accused of abandoning the boy and blocking him on her Whatsapp app to restrict communication with him.
