Rita Dominic releases new movie, La Femme Anjola

Rita Dominic has co-produced a new film, La Femme Anjola and it will be released in the cinemas on March 19, 2021.

La femme Anjola from the stables of The Audrey Silva Company Limited is directed by Mildred Okwo features Rita Dominic and Nonso Bassey (in lead roles).

“A lot of money and resources were put into the film from the talent to the production design and special effects. We want to give people a good time obviously, but we also want to be able to make good returns, so more people are encouraged to invest in Nollywood,” the movie director has revealed.

La Femme Anjola is the story of a young man Dejare (Bassey) who becomes entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he meets and falls for a mysterious woman Anjola (Dominic) whom he simply cannot have.

The Tunde Babalola scripted thriller is uniquely Nigerian with plot details touching on elements of greed, betrayal, desperation, and the lure of the Nigerian dream. The film was shot in locations in Lagos, Nigeria, and Cape Town (South Africa)

The film will be distributed by, Silverbird Distribution, the company, which distributed their earlier releases The Meeting and Surulere

Dubai extends ban on Nigerian flights till March

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has extended suspension of flights from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) from February 28 to March 10.

The UAE aviation authorities made this known in the updated travel protocol posted on the website of the Emirates Airline, the flag carrier of the UAE, on Sunday afternoon.

The update reads: “In line with government directives, passenger services from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) to Dubai are temporarily suspended until 10 March 2021.

“Customers from both Abuja and Lagos will not be accepted for travel prior to or including this date. Passengers who have been to or connected through Nigeria in the last 14 days are not allowed entry into the UAE (whether terminating in or connecting through Dubai).

After burial of First Foundation boss, Children reveal Helen Prest was never married to their late dad…spill details

New claims from five children of Dr. Tosin Ajayi, the late Managing Director of First Foundation Medical Centre, Lagos,have revealed that ex-beauty queen, Helen Prest-Ajayi, was never married to their father.

According to them, the records needed to be set straight because of the controversy that their father’s death had generated.

Kemi Filani reports that the five children; Mrs. Tomi Deru, Dr. Olumide Ajayi, Mrs. Omolade Soetan, Mrs. Mayowa Okeowo and Bisola Ajayi are products of Dr. Ajayi’s marriage with his estranged wife, Mrs Oluwayemisi Ajayi.

The five children and Helen have been at loggerheads since April 2020 when their father died.
