Wuhan Huanan Seafood Market might not be the origin of the novel Coronavirus but might just place that allowed its rapid spread, a Russian expert alleged.
According to a report by Sputnik, a member of the WHO expert team, Vladimir Dedkov asserts that there’s no evidence to prove that the virus originated from Wuhan, but hypothetical analysis points to the fact the market encouraged the spread of the virus.
COVID-19 spread was linked to the seafood market in China, but the scientist is yet to affirm the role it played in its origination.
Dedkov further disclaimed the postulated theory suggesting that a virus leaked during his visit to the Wuhan Institute of Virology with nine other experts of WHO on Wednesday.
“Of course, it was important for our mission to visit this facility, talk to our colleagues and see how everything is organized there,’’ the expert said.
“The laboratory is perfectly equipped.
“It is hard for me to imagine that something could have leaked from there,’’ he added.
