The People’s Democratic PDP leaders reveal that it has met with former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to plan ahead of the 2023 presidency.
The opposition party, APC, has been swallowing the PDP’s key and top leaders, hence the need to strategize and prepare for the upcoming 2023 elections.
It was speculated that the All Progressive Congress, APC is also trying to win the former president to their camp to contest for the presidential election under the APC platform.
The former president has, however, remained mum on the matter despite several speculations and rumors.
The leaders of the PDP decided to visit the former president to address matters that concern the party and possibly get the party in motion against 2023 despite relevant leaders’ defection from the party.
Former Senate President Bukola Saraki shared the video of the visit as he posted the video of Jonathan descending from the staircase of his house to meet with the party leaders.
The leader of the PDP that visited Jonathan were members of the Reconciliation and Strategy Committee.
Saraki, who shared the video of the meeting, said one of the major discussions of the day was to listen to the concerns and grievances of the key stakeholders in the party.
He Tweeted; “As part of our efforts to listen to the concerns of key stakeholders across our great party, this afternoon, the @OfficialPDPNig Reconciliation & Strategy Committee is meeting with our immediate past President, H.E. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (@GEJonathan).”
