Famous American actor, Ralph Macchio was born on the 4th of November 1961 in Huntington, New York. Ralph became prominent after her played the role of Daniel LaRusso in the movie, Karate Kid films and Cobra Kai.
Ralph was born into the family of Rosalie (née DeSantis) and Ralph Macchio, Sr. His father is of half Italian and half Greek but they lived in Naples.
At age 3, Macchio began dancing lessons and he was discovered by a talent agent when he was 16 years old. Following this, Macchio got the role of Jeremy Andretti in the television series Eight Is Enough, after which he won the role of Johnny Cade in the 1983 film The Outsiders.
It was this role that earned him the role of Daniel LaRusso in the 1984 film, Karate Kid and two of its sequels, The Karate Kid Part II and The Karate Kid Part III. Macchio appeared in the 1986 film Crossroads, portraying music student Eugene Martone.
At a celebration of the 30th anniversary of The Karate Kid at the Japanese American National Museum in 2014, Macchio said that the yellow 1947 Ford convertible his character Daniel receives from Miyagi in the first film is sitting in his garage.
On the 5th of April 1987, Macchio tied the knot with a lady who his grandmother introduced to him at age 15. Phyllis Fierro. Both couple were blessed with two children, Julia born in 1992 and Daniel born in 1996.
