Ex US President, Barack Obama has revealed some behind the scenes glimpses of his life admitting he smoked up to eight or nine cigarettes a day due to stress of being president in his forthcoming memoir
According to Dailymail, in The 768-page tome, labelled ‘A Promised Land’ and out on November 17, tells on Obama’s budding political career through his first term in the White House but the book went further to feature some human interest stories, including the former president’s effort to quit smoking.
Obama reveals he sometimes smoke eight or nine or ten cigarettes a day and look for at a ‘discreet location to grab an evening smoke,’ in the memoir.
He ascribes all the thanks to his eldest daughter Malia with straightening him to stop, writing she ‘frowned’ at him after ‘smelling a cigarette on my breath’. He said he ceaselessly chewed nicotine gum to stop.
