Days after apologising to the Muslim community over a backless dress, prominent actress, Rahama Sadau has been invited by the Nigerian police for sparking unrest in the Northern part of the country.
According to reports, the Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu reportedly ordered an investigation into the controversial dress which led to blasphemous comments made on Prophet Mohammed.
Kemi Filani News recalls that the actress came under fire after sharing a photo of herself donning a backless dress on social media. However, Ms Sadau later pulled down the photo condemning outrightly the blasphemy comments spewed on it.
Kemi Filani News gathered that a FIM MAGAZINE, on Saturday reported that the actress delayed a family trip to Dubai and made a detour to Kaduna to honour the police invitation.
In a letter approved by the Principal Staff Officer to the IGP and addressed to the Kaduna State Police Commissioner, the police boss directed the CP to take proactive measures to prevent a breach of peace over the blasphemy.
“I am to convey the directive of the Inspector General of Police that you treat proactively with a view to ensuring that the development does not result to any act that could threaten public peace and security.
“The Inspector General of Police further directs that you furnish him with updates, accordingly,” the letter, signed by DCP Idowu Owohunwa, read in part.
Contacted for comment on the matter, spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, Mohammed Jalige, said he was on casual leave outside his station.
