Actors Mercy Aigbe, Mide Martins, Bukola Adeeyo and the entire Yoruba movie industry has been thrown a state of shock and mourning following the sudden passing away of actor, Iyabo Ojo’s mum, Mrs Victoria olubunmi Fetuga.
Mrs Victoria olubunmi Fetuga was aged 67 and a three generation photo shoot was organized by Iyabo Ojo in her honour, three months ago to celebrate.
Sharing photos from shoot which literally broke the Internet in August, Iyabo Ojo wrote: “Words can’t describe the Joy i feel inside of me, seeing that you’re hale & hearty to enjoy the fruit of your labour, God I thank you for her life & for your undiluted grace upon her life …Mama Babalola, Mama Bayo, Mama Iyabo, May you live long to witness more blessings… Love you forever…”
Only for Iyabo Ojo to break the sad news of her death a while ago on Instagram saying “My mother,my jewel,my guardian,my pearl…this is how you said goodbye?…we were joking about this days ago..I told you how much I want you to live long and watch the children become grown men and women but you said no..your joy was that I am happy..that your spirit would protect and be with us.
Little did I know you were set to leave..with total submission to the will of God, I announce the death of my mother Mrs Victoria olubunmi Fetuga who passed away in her sleep the early hours of today Saturday 21st november at the age of 67yrs..mama,you might be gone but we your children and grandkids would make sure your memories remain and linger on..like you promised,your spirit remains with us…iyabo ojo your love.”
Many of Iyabo Ojo’s colleagues, fans and Nigerians have since bombarded her Instagram page with condolence messages. Mercy Aigbe and Mide Martins were shocked beyond words and muttered “OMG”
