For weeks now, there has been unrest in major cities in Nigeria.
Youths took to the streets to protest against alleged police brutality, corruption and evil practices perpetrated by men of the Nigeria Police Force.
Celebrities and social media influencers used their various platforms to amplify the struggle, with hundreds of thousands of Nigerians coming out to the streets to protest.
Cities like Lagos, Abuja, Port-harcourt, Enugu, Anambra, Kano and Kaduna felt the heat. Businesses were shut and major roads were blocked.
Warehouses were broken and hidden COVID-19 palliatives which were meant to be shared to struggling Nigerians were stacked up in private warehouses.
Residents however decided to loot these hidden palliatives provided by a coalition of private organizations against Coronavirus (CA-COVID).
However, there are 3 photos from the protest that broke my heart.
The one legged man and “his” COVID-19 palliative;
The looted ‘Jalingo” sign post
The ‘looted “Ekiti state House of Assembly” sign post
I mean, who loots sign posts? God help Nigeria.
