Coming after her shop (Killer Curves) was looted during the #ENDSARS protest in Lagos, Actress, Uche Elendu has now opened a GoFundMe account.
The GoFundMe account has a target of 50 thousand dollars which is 20 million naira (with 400 naira/ dollar exchange rate).
Kemi Filani News earlier reported that the Igbo born script interpreter took to her verified Instagram page to cry out after her shop was looted.
A check through GoFundMe shows her company, “Killer Curves” has opened an account with the description; “20-10-2020 #ENDSARS Protest was disoriented by thugs which lead to loss of lives and properties, small businesses have been looted and shops destroyed in Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. Let’s help these affected families and small businesses before we loose more families to suffering and depression. God Bless you and God Bless our home Country Nigeria. #NewNigeria.”, Which implies that it’s for all affected shop owners but Uche took to her Instagram to thank her friend and US-based distributor for opening the account for HER!.
“My friend in USA that set up a go fund me account for ME”.
As at the time of writing this report, Uche’s GoFundMe has generated 205 dollars only in over 24 hours.
Recall that actress, Doris Ogala took to social media to put a lie to Uche’s claims, saying the photos and videos Uche shared on social media are not that of her shop as her shop is way smaller than that. Doris added that even though her shop was looted, she didn’t need to share photos of other people’s shops to make the damage appear bigger.
