#EndSars: Oba Elegushi, Saheed Ademola finally breaks silence

His royal majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi has finally broken his silence on the ongoing protest to end the brutal and extra-judicial killings by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

According to the monarch, the voices of the people should not be ignored and the government needs to take urgent actions.

In his words;

“The ongoing protest, which is calling for reforms in our Police and making them more responsible to the citizens, calls for serious consideration on the part of the government. In our capacity, we continue to engage the authorities on why these voices should not be ignored and urgent actions taken on their demands. Police brutality must stop and citizens’ rights must be protected. I am confident that the government will no longer treat issues such as this with kid gloves and I want to appeal to all Nigerians, particularly those at the forefront of this protests to continue to peacefully engage the authorities and ensure they match words with action.”

‘He only came down to ease himself’ – Man whose driver was killed in Surulere #EndSars protest finally speaks

Man whose driver was killed during the #EndSars protest in Surulere, Lagos has finally given a detail narration of all that happened.

According to the man, he was stuck in traffic with the deceased who happened to be his driver, after-which he asked to ease himself. The man added that his driver was hit by a stray bullet as he was about to enter the car.

Kemi Filani recalls that that the Surulere #EndSars protest turned violent after police officers shot indiscriminately to disperse the protesters and along the line, two of the protesters were hit by gunshots.

Ibadan Polytechnic postpones exams after students protested against it

The Management of Ibadan Polytechnic have been forced to postpone their examinations after students protested against it.

This is coming after students shut all the gates leading to the institution to protest inability to register for the examination that was earlier fixed for Monday.

All workers both academic and non-academic were prevented from gaining entry into the campus.

When News men visited the institution, all the gates were locked while staff and students were seen waiting endlessly at the gate.

According to Vanguard, the management had fixed the examination for Monday but the students complained that they were unable to complete their registration process.
