The Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has worshiped Oduduwa.
Ooni took to his verufued Instagram page to share photos as the people of Ife holds Olojo festival.
He wrote:
““Oduduwa the Progenitor”
The first to wear clothing, a leader and way maker. The first of the new dawn.”
““Oduduwa” the beginning. We must remember our ancestors and heroes past. Happy Olojo Festival. The festival when it all began.”
“I thank Eledumare for giving me the grace to adorn the crown of Oduduwa the progenitor. I know for certain that all prayers have been answered.”
Oduduwa was a Yoruba divine king. According to tradition he was the holder of the title of the Ooni of Ile-Ife, the Yoruba holy city. He was not only the first ruler of a unified Ife, but also the progenitor of various independent royal dynasties in Yorubaland and ancestor of their numerous crowned kings
