A Nigerian footballer who plays for Premier Football Club Ofatedo, Damilola has reportedly slumped and died while playing a football match in Osun State.
According to reports, the young footballer on Monday, September 7 had slumped and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
After being rejected at the hospital, he was immediately taken to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology where he was confirmed dead.
Reports from the club’s players and staffs noted that Damilola never exhibited any signs of illness before the match.
The player’s demise was also confirmed to newsmen by the coordinator of the Osun Grassroots Football Coaches Association, Leke Hamzat.
