The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Recall that the governor joined the party weeks ago after dumping the ruling All Progressives Congres, APC.
He had had a fall out with his boss, the governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, which forced him out of the APC.
However, failing to clinch the PDP gubernatorial ticket for the coming election, Ajayi dumped the party and announced his membership with the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP.
He tweeted: “Today 10th August 2020, I Resign my membership from the People’s Democratic Party to join Zenith Labour party to further my Aspirations.”
He also appreciated the PDP for the warm welcome he received when he joined the party.
“I appreciate the National Leadership and members of the party for their warm reception and acceptance in the short period I rejoined the party”, he added.
