Popular Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim and her Nigerian ex-boyfriend, Iceberg Slim were a thing months ago. In fact, the duo got a matching tattoo on their arms.
The former couple never shied away from flaunting their love publicly the least chance they get and it was so adorable but sadly, it ended in premium tears.
Three years ago, August 2017 precisely, they got matching tattoos in celebration of their one year anniversary and Iceberg’s birthday.
Juliet sent Iceberg a very lovely message to illustrate her affection for her.
She wrote:
A Joyous Birthday to the One that has taught me how to Love unconditionally and so effortlessly… I wish you God’s blessings in abundance, prosperity, long life, good health, everything positive life has in store for you, success in all your endeavours and above all; I pray for God’s protection as we embark on this journey together… Happy one year anniversary to us as well… @iamicebergslim
Despite having these tattoos and professing their love for each other, the duo walked their separate ways in 2018 (Same year they drew the “love” tattoo).
Iceberg who earlier accused her of being a toxic person, later took to his Instagram page to render an apology to her.
He wrote:
”Dear@Juliet Ibrahim thank you for everything.
“You loved me unconditionally, even at my lowest points and only wanted loyalty and honesty in return.
“Unfortunately, I have failed you with everyone else that has seen our relationship and wished us well.
“Despite the pain and heartache i have caused you, you still found a way to rise and smile again.
“ I lied, I cheated, I took your love for granted and in turn brought ridicule and shame to you.
“From the bottom of my heart, I apologize. Why now? You may ask.
“In life sometimes you have to reveal in other to heal, and as I have revealed the true reason for our break up healing comes next.
“As we continue on our separate paths I pray for God’s guidance.”
The question now is, Have the tattoo been erased? How do they feel when ever they look at their hands? Will they forgive each other and make peace? Time will tell.
