Nigerians react as US drops fraud case against Woodberry

Nigerians have reacted to the news that Woodberry who was arrested alongside Hushpuppi has had the fraud case against him dropped by the US.

Woodberry and Hushpuppi were extradited to the US after they were arrested in Dubai for fraud in the tune of N168 billion.

In reaction to the latest development, Nigerians took to social media to express how it made them feel.

@kemiolunloyo: “What the dismissal of Woodberry’s case means: The HushPuppi prosecutor will likely file another case against Woodberry in that case. Woodberry’s alleged fraud proceeds went straight to a Bitcoin wallet, cannot be retrieved so the case was meaningless to them”.

@drpenking: “What are the basis for dismissing the Fraud Charges against #woodberry?
These United States people just deceive us in movies and make it look like their justice system is infallible meanwhile in real life it is just an updated version of Nigerian Corrupt System”

@novieverest: “The US government will refile a case against Woodberry. They just want to get their charges right. This is to prevent a mistrial. Stop wishing to be Hushpuppi or Woodberry, unless you like a prison”.

@coco_hawtt: “Woodberry’s herbalist is really strong ha they have released him, yahoo boys have a good example now”

@itarex: “If woodberry and #hushpuppy are released… I am dropping my home training and Christian value to do yahoo straight! Hard life don tire me too”.

@Tee_Classiquem1: “If these people eventually release hushpuppi and Woodberry, I will bottle up my home training and venture fully into yahoo business… Suffer don tire me set”
