The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has dropped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Chairman of the APC Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Kebbi State, Mai Malla Buni, make this known after the duo met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Although Dogara refused to speak after the meeting, Mai Buni told reporters that the former Speaker “is now a member of APC.”
It would be recalled that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2018.
The Speaker was at the PDP’s national secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, September 20, 2018, to submit his expression of interest and nomination forms to seek re-election in the 2019 general elections on the platform of the party.
