Popular Twitter commentator, Reno Omokri has taken to twitter to question President Buhari’s choice after he appointed one Mohammed Umar as EFCC chairman.
This is coming after Ibrahim Magu was suspended for alleged corrupt practices.
Reno took to the micro blogging platform and wrote:
“Is there any law that say @officialEFCC Chairmen can only come from the North? Magu goes and is replaced with another Northerner, Mohammed Umar. There have now been 5 chairmen. Each has been a Northern Muslim. What‘s happening? Are there no credible Southerners? #BuhariTormentor”
“Does it mean that no matter how good you are as a policeman, you can’t be good enough to be @officialEFCC Chairman if you are not a Northern Muslim? One Northern Muslim, is a precedent. But 5 back to back heading EFCC is a pattern. Where is Federal Character? #BuhariTormentor”
Leo Igwe, the founder of Humanist Association of Nigeria, HAN, has slammed Bishop David Oyedepo for claiming to have healed coronavirus patients.
Leo Igwe stated that there is no evidence that coronavirus can be healed.
He also said that Oyedepo's claim could make people live recklessly in the face of the virus.
He said, “His faith healing claim is capable of making people throw caution to the wind, indulge in risky behaviors while believing that their faith would heal them if they contract the virus.
“This faith healing claim by Oyedepo is a piece of misinformation because faith healing is superstition- not a science-based proposition.

The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has said the the crimes committed by Hushpuppi has dented Nigeria's image.
Hushpuppi and his gang were arrested in Dubai for defrauding 1.9 million people worldwide and taking in N168 billion.
He came to limelight in 2017 and remained there due to his show off of a flamboyant lifestyle. His social media pages are flooded with pictures of his exotic cars and private jet lifestyle.
Reacting to his arrest, Abike Dabiri-Erewa lamented that he had the effrontery to show off despite his illegal activities.
NiDCOM boss lamented “Committing crime and still having the audacity to show off like Ramon Igbalode aka Hushpuppi. This is really denting our image as a people.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has described as a baseless fabrication the allegation that he received N4 billion from suspended EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu.
Magu who was arrested and suspended is accused of diverting N39 billion from looted funds recovered by the antigraft agency.
N4 billion is said to have been released to Osinbajo after he allegedly gave the order.
His spokesman, Laolu Akande who issued a statement in reaction said that the allegation is the hand work of reckless publication.
“With all emphasis at our disposal, let it be firmly stated that these are totally false and baseless fabrications purporting to reflect goings-on at the Probe Panel investigating Mr. Ibrahim Magu. They are indeed completely absurd in every respect,” a statement read.
