Panic as BBNaija’s CeeC’s car fails brake in Enugu | Video

Big Brother Naija Reality star former housemate, Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as Ceec car failed brake today in Enugu.

This resulted to panic among people gathered at the scene.

In the video which has since gone viral, the Igbo born Ceegar boss is seen running around in confusion as people gathered round her car screaming.

Cries can be heard from the front of the building that Cee-C’s car appeared to have rammed into.

As the reality star runs to the front of the building to investigate the cause of the cry, she falls down and is helped up by someone.

It is not clear yet if anyone was hurt in the accident as Twitter users claim.

@Clareuche who is credited for the video refers to it as “the most traumatising thing ever.”

Police rescue over 300 workers locked for three months in Kano’s rice factory

The Police in Kano have rescued over 300 labourers who were forced to spend three months working in a rice-processing factory called ‘popular farm rice’, in Challawa industrial area.

The workers were rescued on Monday, June 22, when Policemen stormed the Indian-owned factory with a court injunction. Four managers were arrested.

According to BBC, the workers were promised an additional N5,000 a month on top of their N25,000 monthly salary – those who did not accept were threatened with the sack.

Speaking with Journalists, the workers said they were denied access outside the premises of the factory due to the fear of bringing COVID-19 into the factory.

Cousins remanded over alleged rape, murder of Maersk MD’s wife in Lagos .

A Lagos High Court sitting in Igbosere, has remanded two cousins, Olamilekan Oke, 33, and Akande Adeyinka, 27, at the Ikoyi correctional centre, over alleged rape and murder of Bernadette, 44, the Hungarian wife of Gildas Tohouo-Tohouo, the managing director of Maersk Nig. Ltd.

The duo were arraigned before Justice Modupe Nico-Clay, who remanded them after they had taken their plea. The defendants are facing eight-count charge bordering on conspiracy, murder, attempted murder, unlawful assault, robbery, armed robbery, and rape, preferred against them by Lagos state government.

The Lagos state prosecuting counsel Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, who led the Director of Public Prosecution DPP, Mrs Adeyinka Adeyemi, told the court that the defendants conspired to commit the alleged offences on December 8, 2019.
