The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, has ordered a full-scale manhunt for the perpetrators of the attack on Isanlu Police station and a commercial bank in Yagba East LGA of Kogi State on 4th June, 2020.
The IGP while condemning the incident, has deployed a team of crack detectives from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), the Special Tactical Squad (STS) and Federal-SARS to Kogi State to ensure that the criminals are apprehended and brought to book.
The IGP has also directed the Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police in charge of the Zone-8 Police Headquarters, Lokoja, AIG Yunana Babas, mni to immediately assess and review the security arrangement in Kogi State and environ so as to prevent any future occurrence of such untoward incident in the State.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has lifted the lockdown order placed on Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of the state on suspicion of COVID-19.
The governor made the announcement while speaking at the government house in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
The decision came after samples taken from the local government were revealed to be negative.
Yahaya Bello also insisted on his claim that Kogi State is COVID-19 free.
This comes days after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed two cases of COVID-19 in the state.
This was corroborated by the former senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye who stated that he knows one of the patients.

Nigerians on Instagram have resorted to insulting and blasting Nigerian music artist manager and the founder of record label Made Men Music Group, Ubi Frankilin after it was reported that he celebrated securing Davido's new number.
Ubi was said to have screenshot Davido's new phone number on his phone and it was seen that he saved the new number as "Davido Banana Island New" . Ubi decided to flaunt this online for people to see that he has the new number.
Recall that few days ago, Davido announced that he had changed his phone number, so as to take care of himself well. He wrote;
“If you can’t reach me, I will contact you. All my life, I have put people before me, i think it’s time to...
