The national minimum benchmark for admission into universities has been approved as 160 by the 20th Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
The mark approved for admission into private universities through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is 140.
For polytechnics, a mark of 120 was approved while 100 was approved for Colleges of Education, innovative enterprises and institutes.
The meeting which held virtually saw the JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, urging tertiary institution against increasing screening charges.
