Professor Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner of Health, has said that cases of COVID-19 which are not severe will henceforth be treated at home.
Abayomi stated that the decision became necessary as the situation with COVID-19 has now moved to community transmission in the state.
The Minister, however, revealed that severe cases of COVID-19 will be attended to at the isolation center.
He said, “We have exceeded the containment phase now. We are at the active community transmission stage.
“We will be concentrating on people with severe cases and isolating them while mild cases will be managed at home. Our attention is shifting to community-based isolation.”
