Popular Nollywood actress, Adah Ameh made a four (4) minutes video days ago, where she cried bitterly lamenting about the epileptic power supply in Nigeria during this coronavirus lock down season.
In the video, she made a call to the federal government of Nigeria to improve on regular power supply as Nigerians obey the stay-at-home order. This has prompted the speaker of the house of representatives to address the power issues in the country.
The speaker Femi Gbajabiamila disclosed this on social media platform twitter.
He said “after Madam Ameh’s viral video, I held a meeting with the Minister of Power, NERC and other stakeholders today on the need to ensure stable electricity at least during the lockdown period.”
“At the end of the discussion, Gas companies who are being owed money agreed to release gas to the GENCOs while other outstanding issues are resolved immediately after we conquer Covid-19. Will remain vigilant.”
