A Ghanian OAP identified as Prince Benjamin has advised Christians to stop paying tithes because they don’t owe God money. According to him, paying of tithes is a scam because no one can pay for blessings.
He further explained that “My old man, a strict tither, just realised from reading the Bible that the tithing preaching(s) and practice(s) is a scam. No Christian is under any law or obligation to tithe or give 10% or more of his or her [monthly] income to any religious leader or religious organisation.
You don’t owe God money. You can’t pay for a blessing. The richest people in the world don’t tithe – they are not even Christians – a good number are not even religious. Don’t let anyone take your money in the name of God with promises of you becoming rich. It’s a scam.
Nobody gave money to God to become rich in the Bible. Money is also not the ultimate blessing. In fact, the Christian God warns His followers against riches and loving it. Give an offering when you are capable and give what you want to. If you don’t want to give too, it is your choice. Do as you purpose in your heart.
You’re not cursed if you don’t pay your tithe. Don’t fear any curse because there is none. If you want money and more of it, go and work, save, invest and be kind. Trust in God to bless your efforts. Working and financial prudence are God’s paramount tips on making money.”
He also added that the church is not a casino or betting centre, bruh. “Don’t be fooled! Shine your eye!
PS: Tithing was Law to the Jews and not Christians. If you being Christian, go and hastily and unadvisedly promise God 10% of your cash every month, that’s a vow you’ve made and you have to keep it but you were under no obligation to do this. This your vow is your vow only – it doesn’t apply to any other Christian. Don’t make your personal promises to God a law for other believers.” he said
Do you think he is right ?
