Togolese footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor has been stuck in Benin Republic after he fled Paraguay due to coronavirus.
Adebayor who plays for Olimpia FC arrived Benin on a flight from Paris and got stuck in the country which has placed a restriction on travels.
His club Olimpia FC have now issued a statement regards the isue.
It read: ‘Emmanuel Adebayor made the decision to return to his country to spend the government-declared quarantine time.
‘As an institution, we have informed him of the risks that this entails, but his decision was to spend this time with his family.’
H spoke to local media: ‘My quarantine in Lome (Togo), like in Benin, is to feel at home, it doesn’t bother me at all.’
