Access Bank has shut down one of its branches in Lagos after a customer tested positive to coronavirus.
The customer had visited the Ligali Ayorinde branch in Lagos at the time he was yet to test positive to the virus.
Access Bank revealed via a statement saying all those who had contact with the customer have now been placed in isolation while the customer is currently being attended to at a centre in Yaba.
The bank tweeted: “The health of all our stakeholders remains paramount at Access Bank Plc, as we are adopting all necessary measures to ensure your safety at this time.
“We have informed the ministry of health and are working with them to resolve the issues as we continue to fight this corona pandemic”.
Nollywood actress, Beverly Naya has wondered how low-income earners will survive if the Federal Government should declare that people should work from home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
This was after the Director of Public Policy Initiative at Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Foundation, Amara Nwankpa, advised the Federal Government to declare that people should work from home.
Nwankpa tweeted: "Nigerians are being asked to take a lot of personal responsibility for preventing the spread of #COVID19 but the Federal Government needs to step up and declare work-free days and encourage stay at home. If you don't do it, it will be hard to pull this off".
Beverly Naya who reacted to the tweet wondered how the low-income earners will survive if asked to stay at home.
Nollywood actress, Funmi Awelewa has advised Nigerians to stay at home because Nigeria is not medically prepared for coronavirus.
She stated this on Instagram as the number of cases in the country increases to 35 with one death recorded.

A man on twitter identified as @MellyMelForReal has shared a video of people in Ghana coming down from a public bus because a Chinese man entered the same bus.
In the video, people were seen running and avoiding to go near the Chinese man who was seated in the public bus. Some people could be heard shouting "coronavirus" at the background of the video.
